KSDK -- A State Representative from Arnold said consumers may have to sacrifice to help deal with the state's meth problem. Buying cold medicine with a prescription could become the law if a bill proposed in Jefferson City is approved.
House Bill 407 sponsored by Democrat Jeff Roorda was debated in committee Wednesday and could make it to the house floor in the next two weeks.
Roorda wants pseudoephedrine, the main ingredient in several cold and allergy medications, to become a schedule two drug available only by prescription.
