Two Arnold police officers will receive the Police Medal of Honor Award from the Missouri Police Chiefs Association next week.
Officers James Francis and Vince Koenig will head to Jefferson City for an awards banquet Dec. 18, where they will receive their medals.
During the summer, Francis and Koenig responded to a call of a man trapped under his tractor. The officers found the victim not only trapped but at risk of drowning as the tractor had tipped over into a detention pond while the victim did yard work nearby the pond. Francis and Koenig worked tirelessly to free the man from danger, saving his life.
