ST. CHARLES — Recession or not, a luxury movie complex charging about $30 for tickets — with gourmet food and wine extra — could be coming to the old Noah's Ark site in St. Charles.
An executive with Cullinan Properties says an upscale Gold Class Cinema is likely to be part of its $385 million commercial and residential development replacing the old family-friendly Noah's Ark restaurant.
The menu at a Gold Class Cinema which opened in October in the Chicago suburb of South Barrington has items such as duck tacos ($15), beef and arugula pizza ($16), crisp lobster roll ($18) and crab cake quartet ($17). Among the desserts are chocolate mousse at $12 and creme brulee for $9.
