Gene and Ginnie Terry may be octogenarians, but
they can still muster the energy to lend a hand with Scouting in
Jefferson County.
Gene, 82, and Ginnie, 81, of Arnold, continue
to devote their time to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, even though
their five children's days in Scouting ended decades ago.
The Terrys say the main reason they still participate is they admire the youth organizations.
"To
me, I love the Girl Scouts program," Ginnie said. "It's so well
balanced for the girls. I think Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts teach kids
to get along with other people."
Gene added, "It's one of the better things a person can do for their child, I'd say."
