JEFFERSON COUNTY — Bus service will begin in four cities in the county on Monday.
The new service, dubbed "Jeffco Express," will make four three-hour
round trips, serving 22 stops, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays in De
Soto, Hillsboro, Festus and Arnold.
A one-way ticket is $2, a 10-ride pass is $20, and a 20-ride pass is
$40. Those prices are cut in half for the disabled or people 65 and
older.
Planning for the service began about two years ago, and has involved
several local agencies and included state and federal grants.
