It was a no-brainer for Jennifer McCallister.
Her son, Fox senior Levi Terrell, will be heading to the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the fall to play running back for the Division II school. When Terrell signed a national letter of intent with the Mavericks on Feb. 4, McCallister made a quick decision and an easy one in her mind.
She stepped down as the girls volleyball coach at Fox in order to have the time to take trips to Nebraska and around the Midwest in order to see her son play football.
McCallister will stay at Fox as the school's guidance counselor. But she said with the amount of weekend tournaments in volleyball, she knew she would have to sacrifice either volleyball or watching her son play college football.
