Dow Chemical announced Monday it will close a portion of its Riverside plant in Pevely.
The decision will result in job losses for 12-14 employees, or about a quarter of the plant's workforce.
Rosemarie Rung, Dow spokeswoman, said the plant's polystyrene manufacturing operations would cease by September.
Dow will continue to manufacture Styrofoam at the facility.
