With most stores fully decked out for the holiday season, the City of Kimmswick is gearing up for its annual Christmas Open House this weekend.
New to the celebration this year is a parade through the city, featuring antique cars and the award-winning Windsor High School Marching Band. The parade marshal for the event will be Loretta Boemler, who is actively involved with the Kimmswick Historical Society.
"We thought that would be really appropriate because 2009 is the 150th birthday of Kimmswick," said Betteanne Smith of Mississippi Mud Gallery and Gifts.
