An all-terrain vehicle accident early Saturday led to the death of a 20-year-old Pevely man.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported that Mark T. Kaltenbronn, 20, was a passenger on a two-seat ATV driven by another 20-year-old man from Pevely when the ATV fell to one side as the driver failed to negotiate a curve on Horine Road at the Joachim Creek Bridge in Herculaneum. An investigation at the scene indicated that the ATV flipped over on its right side, sliding into a guardrail at the bridge, authorities said.
Kaltenbronn was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
