Jefferson County Winter Park should be reopened for public use in the near future, officials said.
The facility, located along the Meramec River in Fenton, has been closed since last spring's floods, but is to be cleaned in the next several weeks, according to Jefferson County director of parks Mike Ginger.
"We do not have a specific date in mind right now," Ginger said. "We are having a contractor do it. We put out for bids and Thornborrow Excavating of Festus won with a bid of $26,750.
