Seckman junior Zach Beatty had played a consistent round of golf Thursday at the Class 4 district tournament at the Aberdeen Golf Course in Eureka.
But he had yet to make a birdie or a putt of any distance. That is, until his final shot of the day.
Beatty had a 15-foot putt for par on the 18th hole. He knew it was a shot that had to go in if he had any chance to achieve his dream, making the state tournament.
