AmerenUE donates truck to Arnold

On Nov. 12, AmerenUE donated a used 37-foot bucket truck to the City of
Arnold. The truck will be used for streetlight maintenance and
installation, including installation of holiday lighting, tree trimming

When you're preparing to fight white-hot fires, there's no substitute for experience.

Any mistake in such a pressure-packed environment could prove deadly. Training is essential.

That's where the fireblast simulator comes in.

A big, black, specially-designed fire training trailer, the simulator was recently purchased by the Rock Community Fire Protection District.
The trailer simulates real-life situations firefighters might encounter during the course of the job.

The big black training trailer has been at the fire station on Telegraph for several days. I have seen fire fighters all suited up around the trailer.
Don't know where it's permanent home will be but I think Telegraph is about the largest firehouse here.

The big black trailer is still on Telegraph and several times a week I see different fire departments from around the area up there training. Looking at the window and door areas you can see black smoke marks so it must really get hot.
That was money well spent as it gives not only our fire department a place to train but also fire departments from around the area.
