Tuesday, Newschannel 5 got an exclusive look inside the local shelter where dozens of dogs, including pit bulls are recovering. 

Numerous state, local and federal agencies are involved in the case that is still ongoing. 

Nearly 500 pit bulls have been housed at a secret location after being rescued from the metro east and the St. Louis area.
