<description>ebruary 2011 will mark the 70th anniversary of the Rock Community Fire Department.

From

its humble beginnings as a Volunteer Fire Association in 1941 to

becoming the department that it is today, Rock Community has seen a lot

of changes and growth. None of this growth or change could have

<description>When you're preparing to fight white-hot fires, there's no substitute for experience.

Any mistake in such a pressure-packed environment could prove deadly. Training is essential.

That's where the fireblast simulator comes in.

A big, black, specially-designed fire training trailer, the simulator was recently purchased by the Rock Community Fire Protection District.

The trailer simulates real-life situations firefighters might encounter during the course of the job.
