AmerenUE donates truck to Arnold

On Nov. 12, AmerenUE donated a used 37-foot bucket truck to the City of
Arnold. The truck will be used for streetlight maintenance and
installation, including installation of holiday lighting, tree trimming
and other municipal purposes.

Arnold council meetings could hit air waves

Get your DVRs and laptops ready, because Arnold City Council meetings could soon go digital.

The City Council passed a resolution Thursday creating a committee to examine the possibility of broadcasting council meetings on television and the Internet.

"We'd like to do a more transparent meeting," said Mayor Ron Counts. "That's the goal. We're going to study the issue and kick it around."

ARNOLD, Mo. (AP) -- The White House says President Barack Obama's town hall meeting on his 100th day in office will be in Arnold on Wednesday.
The event is scheduled for 10:20 a.m. CST at Fox Senior High School in the suburban St. Louis city. The White House says the event is open to the public, but a ticket is needed. Doors open at 8 a.m.

KSDK -- It's a rare sighting at a school, members of the Secret Service going over logistics in the gym.

That was the scene Monday at Fox High School in Arnold.

The maintenance staff is putting down a fresh coat of paint and making last minute repairs. Teens in student government pitched in by laying a cover over the wood floor.

Enjoy the experience.

Lara and I were driving Alex to the Missouri School for the Deaf out in Fulton when the call came.
We missed out.

I will be at school covering for other teachers so they can go.

It was very interesting. Not only to listen to what the President had to say, but just the experience in general. I hope to have some pictures posted later on this afternoon. For now, my son wants to go take his driving test ............. yikes!
